Mike Noel
Head Coach

Mike Noel will be in his 14th season at the helm of the Cougar softball team. In his first twelve years, Noel’s teams have combined for a record of 388-95-5, a winning percentage of .803. During his tenure, Noel has coached twelve All-Americans, twenty All-State selections, and thirty All-Valley picks.

"I feel very fortunate to be coaching at Clovis High School," he said. "It’s a thrill to be able to work around some of the best student-athletes and coaches in the state."

During his thirteen year career, Noel has been named Valley Coach of the Year 4 times and League Coach of the Year nine times. He was further honored after the 1996 and 1999 seasons by being named a head coach in the annual summer All-Star game. Noel’s teams have been ranked second (three times), third (twice), fourth, eighth, 12th, 14th and 21st  in the state during his 12 years as head coach.

Noel graduated from Fresno State in 1991 with a degree in Business Administration. While attending FSU, he played both football and baseball for the Bulldogs and earned Big West athletic and academic honors.

Noel, an active member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, where he served on All-American committee, joined the Clovis High staff in 1992 as a math instructor and coach. He has coached football 5 years, baseball for 1 year, and begins his 11th year with the Cougar softball program. Noel has been a featured speaker at numerous coaching clinics, including ones in Lake Tahoe, Southern California and San Francisco. Coach Noel was invited to speak at the University of Arizona and current USA Olympic head coach Mike Candrea's clinic.  Mike was married August 2nd, 1997 to his wife Tiffany. The two have two children, a daughter, Avery Elizabeth, and a son D. Camden Michael.  They are also proud parents of their Dachshund, Sadie.  His hobbies include golfing, music, working on Cougar Park, and traveling.
