With the loss of All-State selection Nicole Reed and All-Valley pick Whitnee O'Barr from last years team due to graduation, the 2008 Cougars will have a slightly different look. However, the squad comprised of 11 returning letter winners, including an NFCA  All-West Region selection, 2 All-City selections, and some highly touted newcomers has its sights set on yet another TRAC title chase and a berth in the Section finals.

Clovis continually faces one of the toughest schedules in the section, and the 2008 season is no exception. Clovis' non-conference opponents include Saugus for Santa Clarita and Los Banos along with Central Section powers Bullard and Edison.  The Cougars also compete in three highly competitive tournaments this season, as Clovis is scheduled to take part in the Nor Cal Classic in Tracy, CA, their own Easter Softball Classic, and the prestigious Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Arizona. 

In April, the Cougars enter their conference schedule.  These include games with perennial Central Section powers Buchanan, Clovis West, Clovis East, Central and Madera.  Clovis hopes to finish strong in the competitive TRAC as the Cougars are in search of their tenth conference title in thirteen years.

With a talented, explosive, and youthful squad, the Cougars look to continue the glory days of Clovis softball and reach their ultimate goal, The Central Section championship.
