2010:  SECOND TEAM ALL-TRAC...TEAM ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AWARD...Sophomore started in all 36 games, mostly in the circle...Collected first career hit, an RBI single and win on March 5th vs. Los Banos...Drove in 2 game-winning runs...Had a 4 game hitting streak, during which time she hit .462 (6-13)...Recorded 6 multi-hit games...Her 11 walks was 2nd best on the club...Had an on-base percentage of .317...Led the Cougars in every pitching category, including wins, ERA and strikeouts...Her 22 wins was good for 8th best in a season at Clovis High and her 214 innings was the 6th most.

Personal:  Born 4/12/94 in Clovis, CA...Lists biggest sports thrill as finishing 5th at Nationals...Future plans include attending a 4 year college and becoming a nurse or teacher...Few people know that she loves to act.  She's always wanted to be on TV...Hobbies include going to the beach, movies and hanging out with friends...Is a member of the class of 2012 club...Lists her sister and former Cougar softball player, Kacy as her role model because she's nice, funny and has a great head on her shoulders...Is a member of the High Honor roll...Lists A Walk to Remember as her favorite movie, chicken fingers as her favorite food and America's Next Top Model and Cake Boss as her favorite TV shows...Has one sister: Kacy(18)...Daughter of Wendy and Doug Moritz.

Coach Noel says: "Dana will be counted on to carry the load in the circle for us this season and I know she can handle it.  She is good competitor and a great teammate.  I really appreciate the way Dana is with her teammates.  She is always there to support them.  Dana is a wonderful young lady and Clovis Softball is very fortunate to have her for the next three years."

In Dana's own words: "The thing I like about Clovis Softball is the intensity.  I like the tradition of excellence on and off the field.  Also, I love my teammates and how much we are a family."
